Protection of Children and Young People
Christian-social-education work with young people is a key part of our parish activities. To protect the children and young people entrusted to our care and to comply with legal requirements, we have developed a prevention programme. Our brochure ‘Child and Youth Protection’ contains important information, guidance materials and forms that must be followed by the responsible leaders and all those working with children and young people.
Combat sexual violence!
Our ‘Strategy on Sexual Violence’ addresses mandatory prevention measures for our congregations, the handling of cases of sexual violence, and our responsibility to provide education. This policy is aimed at children, young people and other vulnerable individuals. The protection of victims within the congregation takes precedence over the protection of the perpetrator. Prevention, an open approach to the subject of sexuality, and a transparent handling of misconduct form the basis for this.
Our community should be a safe place for children and young people. Together, we want to take a stand against sexual violence against children and young people. We must not stand by and remain silent. Let us stand up against it with courage and determination.
