Multiple local churches are grouped into a district. Each district is composed of at least three local churches that are related in terms of geographical location or ethnicity. The districts are grouped by the regional overseer in consultation with the national overseer. An appointed district pastor serves to promote the cooperation within the district and represents the district at the regional level.

Multiple districts are combined to form a geographical or international region. The respective regional overseer, together with the regional council, is responsible for the church work at the regional level. One of the regional overseer’s main tasks is to connect the local churches, church districts and regional ministry departments with the other regions and the national church.

The Church of God in Germany is currently composed of the following regions:
